Saturday Group Ride

Meet at Yarborough Leisure Centre, main entrance

The Saturday ride is an advanced ride for the more serious cyclist. Depending on the numbers, this will be ridden as a continuous chain or in a different, quick format. The final 5-10 miles of the ride is where we will ramp things up and finish with a breakaway chain-gang effort. We may choose a local cafe or pub for a social drink afterwards.

Time:

  • Saturday 8.30am all year round. See the Club Facebook page for updates.

Categories:

  • Competent and experienced riders, a good level of cycling fitness is needed.

What you need to know:

  • This is an organised group ride of approximately 50 to 60 miles with an average speed of 18-22mph.
  • If you get dropped or have a mechanical issue, the group will wait unless it is in the last 10 miles of the ride when we pick up the pace.
  • Riders must follow the instructions of the ride leader and the group riding code of conduct.
Sunday Group Ride

Meet at Yarborough Leisure Centre entrance or Skellingthorpe Community Centre.

Join us on a Sunday for our traditional ‘Club Run’ - a ride of 3-3 1/2 hours at a sociable pace of around 16-18 mph. This is the backbone of learning to ride in a club and staple for cycling clubs up and down the country where Youth and Novice riders can learn from experience and gain valuable endurance and fitness. This ride will often stop at a designated cafe for a quick drink before continuing back to Lincoln. We meet at the entrance to Yarborough Leisure Centre for a 9am departure.
